My little bundle of joy has arrived! Ethan David was born March 9 at 10:16 am at St. Joe East. He weighed in at 8 lbs 6.4 oz and was 20 inches long. I had my first thought that I might be in labor at 10:00 pm on the 8th. I went to the hospital at about 3:30 am. At this point, my contractions were 2 minutes apart and I was 4 cm. So of course, they decided to keep me. I had the epidural at about 5:30. That was a big relief.

The Dr. had to break my water (around 8:00 am). I started pushing around 10:00. I only had to push through 3 to 5 contractions. He arrived at 10:16! So that part went really well. I was surprised at how fast everything went once it was time to get to work. Unfortunately though, this fast pace may have been part of the reason I tore so bad. I had a 4th degree tear so recovery has been a little harsh. But all in all, everything went really well!
