| Baby Moon Playgroup | |||||
| Playgroup is fun for baby, but let's face it: It's mom who really needs it. Come hang out with other Baby Moon moms and enjoy the company of grown-up women! Our playgroup is a great way to begin the transition back into "public" after the birth of a new baby, or to find some playmates for your bigger baby (and for yourself!). FREE and open to all.
Where: Baby Moon. What to Bring: Just yourself and your baby, and maybe a toy to share. Questions? Email playgroup organizer Karen. Check the Families Class Calendar for dates and holiday cancellations. |

Wearing your baby in a baby carrier can help sooth a fussy baby or toddler and keep your little one close while leaving you hands-free to go about your daily life. In many cultures the art of carrying babies using pieces of fabric has been passed down through generations. Because in America this tradition is not deeply rooted, we have started an organization in Lexington to bring together experienced “babywearers” with parents or caregivers who would like to learn more about this useful and nurturing practice. In our free monthly meetings we will discuss many different traditional and modern cloth carriers, including ring slings, pouches, wrap-around carriers, and soft structured carriersand provide hands-on support, as well as exchange tips and tricks.
Who should come? Parents, care-givers or parents-to-be interested or with any level of experience in using cloth baby carriers. Children of any age are welcome, though many find children over three to be difficult to wear in a carrier. FREE.
Questions? Please email one of the group leaders, Hazel, Ruth, or Lara.
Check the Natural Parenting Calendar for dates and holiday cancellations.
