Communicate through touch.
Touch is absolutely vital to your baby's health, well-being, and sense of security. Infant massage is a simple and effective way to encourage your baby's growth and development, alleviate birth trauma and other anxieties, and build a bond of trust and love between parent and child.

Have you noticed how many different baby carrying products are on the market?? Some of today's most popular brands are not all they're cracked up to be. Mother Nurture provides an opportunity for you to try out and try on a variety of different options to help you make a good decision for you and your baby--before you buy.
Wraps, rebozos, slings, mei tai's, front packs...learn about different baby wearing techniques and leave feeling confident about what will work for you. Break free of the bjorn!!
Pregnant mamas welcome, baby demos provided (take this class before you register for your baby shower!), new mamas bring your babies.
FREE DEMOS now available at Mother Nurture--stop in any time for one-on-one instruction!

Support baby's development.
Baby massage promotes strengthening of the digestive, respiratory, and circulatory systems (not yet fully developed at birth), helps to relieve the discomfort associated with gas, constipation, and colic, stimulates brain development, and can promote a more restful sleep. Infant massage movements also help to encourage circulation, moving nutrients and proteins through the body more effectively and strengthening the immune system.
Soothe your fussy baby.
For a baby, touch is the primary means of communiction. Your baby reads more than you know from your touch, and responds to your moods. In first-time parents, parents of preemies or high-needs babies, and adoptive parents especially, infant massage can help introduce early confidence and relaxation in holding and responding to your new baby. While infant massage is beneficial for all babies, it may be especially useful for soothing your fussy, gassy, or high needs baby. Let us show you how! (For fussy babies, see also Tranquil Family Home Visit, available through Mother Nurture.)
Infant Massage Instruction for Parents is available in private sessions with our Certified Pregnancy, Postpartum, & Baby Massage Therapists, Tatsiana McGee and Lauren Howard.
45 Minute Session, $55.

Cloth diapering is not what it used to be! We have so many more options than Grandma did with her safety pins and rubber pants. If you would like to learn more about the benefits of cloth diapering (health benefits for baby, benefits for the environment, and cost savings of $1500 - $3000 per child, for example), or if you just need help getting started, come on in.
Take a look at several different brands of cloth diapers, and see just how easy it can be. We'll discuss what supplies you'll need and a couple of different washing methods. Ask questions from experienced cloth diapering moms!

Sure, there are some online deals out there, and we understand the value of a dollar to our families. But is it worth a few extra bucks to touch and feel these products in person, and enjoy so much personal attention? We think so.
