Tatsiana McGee
Trained by some of the best in the field, Tatsiana brings an incredible skill set to her work, and serves pregnant women with a compassionate touch. Born and raised in Belarus, Tatsiana studied pregnancy massage in California, honing her skills at the Barefoot & Pregnant Spa before moving to Lexington with her family and joining us at Baby Moon. We are so lucky to have her here in our neck of the woods.
Certified in Pregnancy, Postpartum & Infant Massage
Tatsiana received her Masters Degree in Education from Polotsk State University. She moved to the United States in 2000 and discovered her true passion and calling in Massage. After graduating from the Institute of Therapeutic Massage and Movement in Nashville, she practiced massage in the San Francisco Bay Area for over 4 years, where she had the opportunity to study Pregnancy Massage, Bodywork for the Childbearing Year, and Deep Tissue Massage with some of the best teachers in the field.
Tatsiana's pregnancy massage integrates massage and alignment work, which not only helps to relax and nurture an expecting mother physically and emotionally, but also unwind compensation patterns that take place in the body during pregnancy, restore alignment to back, belly, pelvic floor, hips and thighs, and create more space in the body for the baby.
Birth Doula
Tatsiana gave birth to daughter Kyra in November 2005. During her pregnancy she fell in love with prenatal yoga and the birth process. She is now a birth doula herself, providing professional labor support and massage to moms and dads during their birth process. Like all of our prenatal staff at Baby Moon, Tatsiana brings a wealth of knowledge and experience surrounding pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period to her work

Lauren Howard
Lauren Higdon has been on a parallel path with us from the beginning. Since 2002 her interests and experiences have dovetailed with our own. When I was taking my prenatal yoga teacher training, she was studying massage therapy at The Lexington Healing Arts Academy. She was among my first prenatal yoga students, back in the old school days when I was teaching in the maternity education classroom at St. Joseph East and she was pregnant with her first child. In 2003, Lauren gave birth to son Tag (with our friend, the late Beth Broderson Bray, CNM), started her private massage therapy practice, and completed her Birth Doula training through DONA.
Our circles have continuously overlapped since then, as we have worked together to support women and families before, during, and after the childbearing year. Sure, we have wooed her from time to time over the years. Enjoying all the directions her organic experience as a therapist and mother have taken her, Lauren has until now politely declined our advances. As our relationship comes full circle, we couldn't be happier to finally say: we got her.

Lauren is certified and extensively experienced in prenatal, birth, postpartum, and infant massage. As a part-time doula she has attended around 25 births, providing labor support to women and partners. She has taught Pregnancy Massage at the Lexington Healing Arts Academy since 2004, and is certified to train nurses, doulas, massage therapists and others in Infant Massage. She has a passion for working with children, with her professional pediatric work centering around support for kids with sleep issues, digestive issues, and high needs children, as well as those with ADD, ADHD, and autism. As a therapist, she knows well the benefits that regular massage bring to mother and baby. As a doula and mother, she has a deep respect for the process of birth and parenting. To put it simply, Lauren is a total package.
At Baby Moon we have set a high bar for our practitioners--not only in training and experience but also in passion for the hard work of supporting women through pre-conception, fertility, pregnancy, and motherhood. We aren't looking for someone to fill a job, we are looking for someone who shares the love. The education, experience, passion, and compassion that our team brings to this work is, we think, unparalleled. It doesn't always come easy, but it is always worth the wait.
We are thrilled that our expanded availability will enable us to better meet your needs from pre-conception into motherhood. Lauren and Tatsiana have put their heads together, exchanging knowledge, techniques, interests, and passions, and some exciting new offerings are growing out of this powerhouse synergy (Hello, Thai Massage!). Schedule your appointment with Lauren today!
